The award-winning Allan Scott family are one of Marlborough's best-known winemaking outfts, but the family has also been involved in Central Otago since 1994, when they established Scott Base, a low yield vineyard in the heart of Central Otago's Cromwell region. This is an exciting, well priced wine with an expansive bouquet of cherry, plum, spice and wild sage. The complex, well-weighted palate displays rich, succulent fruit complemented by neatly integrated oak, supple tannins and a long, smooth finish.
